RON GUTMAN, CTO and CO-FOUNDER
Ron Gutman is a seasoned cable and communications technologist with a strong track record in product development and engineering management.
Prior to founding Imagine Communications, Ron was director of customer solutions, system architect and R&D project manager at BigBand Networks where he was responsible for the entire R&D group in Israel and the U.S., resulting in the company’s leadership in video processing, multiplexing and switched broadcast. Prior to BigBand, he was R&D project manager at Harmonic where he helped launch the first integrated VOD over IP system and developed an innovative technology for statistical multiplexing of a complete MPEG-2 transport stream into a single chip. As a VLSI engineer at Intel, he participated in the development of Intel’s first Ethernet 10/100BaseT chip. He received a BS Cum Laude in electrical engineering from Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, graduating with honors.
